Morality 4.0

Blurring the line between the physical world and the digital world.  Sound scary to you?  You’re not alone.  Many people are wary of the utopia that technologists and futurists are pushing with the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Here at 4/ir, we’ll be covering all of the moral issues that arise from the oncoming wave of technology that will change the way humans interact with their environment.  From creating AI with free will to using VR for torture, there is a lot to cover.

That’s why I’m introducing Moral Monday (no, not the Raleigh political march), a weekly feature that will discuss whatever lies at the intersection of technology, morals and ethics.  Together with guest writers, I’ll be reviewing movies like Ex Machina and interviewing thinkers like Nicholas Carr to uncover the moral controversy behind the 4th IR.

Moral Mondays will debut on March 20th, when Maya Chari will discuss Snow Crash.

Stay tuned.
